John Drew is Emeritus Professor of English Literature at the University of Buckingham, where he directs the Open Access archive of Charles Dickens's periodical journalism, Dickens Journals Online (www.djo.org.uk). His research interests embrace periodical studies, Dickens Studies, and genre.
