Bio

Mena Mitrano teaches in the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She has published on theory, modernism, American literature, language, and great women intellectuals like Gertrude Stein, Susan Sontag and Hannah Arendt. Her new book, tentatively titled The Life of Critique: Method and Vulnerability, is under review with Edinburgh University Press, while her experimental textbook English for American Studies: The Delectable Speaker has just come out with Libreria Editrice Cafoscarina.

The minuteness of her body and the expansiveness of her thought struck some as an odd contrast.
