Katherine M. H. Reischl is Assistant Professor in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Princeton University. She has published on the figure of Tolstoy in the history of photography and illustrated Soviet children’s books; her monograph, Photographic Literacy: Cameras in the Hands of Russian Authors, is forthcoming with Cornell University Press.
