Patrick Noonan

Patrick Noonan is Assistant Professor of Japanese Literature and Culture at Northwestern University.  He has published on the Japanese New Wave filmmaker Yoshida Kiju and has translated work by Yoshida and the documentary filmmaker Hara Kazuo.  His current book project examines the theorization and representation of subjectivity in literary and visual media in 1960s Japan.
